Am I Still Following My ASTER Crypto Strategy? Analyzing Accumulation During Market Declines

The Price Is Falling. Does It Mean the Strategy Failed?

One of the most difficult moments for any investor is when an asset they purchased starts losing value.

This is when emotions begin to appear:

“Did I make a mistake?”
“Should I sell?”
“Is my strategy no longer working?”

The ASTER investment journey is a good example of this challenge.

Since its launch, ASTER has experienced significant price declines, and many investors have started to see falling prices as a negative signal.

However, for a long-term investor, market declines are not automatically a failure.

Sometimes, a market decline is exactly the moment when an investment strategy is truly tested.

An Investment Strategy Is Not Tested During Bull Markets

During strong market growth, many strategies appear successful.

When prices are rising, patience is easy.

The real challenge appears when the market changes direction.

This is when investors need to answer an important question:

Do I have a system, or do I only have hope?

My ASTER approach is not based on predicting short-term price movements.

I am not trying to predict:

  • where the exact market bottom will be,
  • when the next rally will begin,
  • what the price will be next week or next month.

Instead, I follow a predefined accumulation framework.

ASTER Accumulation Strategy — Following a System

My ASTER accumulation strategy is based on several key principles:

1. Accumulating According to Predefined Levels

I do not buy because the price is moving higher.

I also do not buy because of emotions.

Purchases are made according to predefined accumulation levels and portfolio allocation.

This helps remove fear and excitement from the decision-making process.

2. No Panic During Market Declines

A falling price is not automatically a reason to sell.

Every market experiences different phases:

  • growth,
  • corrections,
  • consolidation,
  • uncertainty.

The role of an investor is not to react to every movement on the chart.

The role of an investor is to execute a previously prepared plan.

3. Not Chasing Market Pumps

Many investors buy after a strong price increase.

The thought process is often:

“I need to buy now before it is too late.”

This type of decision is usually driven by emotion.

My approach is different.

I wait for predefined conditions and allow the strategy to work.

Does Selling Mean a Mistake?

One of the biggest mistakes investors make is judging every decision only by short-term results.

If someone sells and the price later increases, people often say:

“That was a mistake.”

But investing should not be judged this way.

The correct question is:

Was the decision consistent with the investment system?

If a sale or profit-taking action follows predefined rules, it is not an emotional reaction.

It is part of capital management.

Profit Taking and Building Future Opportunity Capital

My strategy is not based on selling the entire position during market increases.

Instead, I use gradual profit-taking.

For example:

  • a portion of the position may be sold at predefined price levels,
  • generated capital can be prepared for future opportunities,
  • some funds can remain available for future market corrections.

The goal is not to perfectly predict the top.

The goal is to create a repeatable investment process.

The Most Important Question for an Investor

When looking at ASTER, the most important question is not:

“Did the price go down?”

That question is obvious.

The real question is:

“Am I still following my strategy?”

If:

✅ I follow my predefined rules,
✅ I respect my portfolio allocation,
✅ I do not make decisions based on fear,
✅ I do not change my plan because of market emotions,

then the strategy is still active.

Conclusion — The Strategy Is Tested During Difficult Times

Investing is not about being right all the time.

It is about having a process that helps you make decisions when the market becomes difficult.

ASTER represents an example of why investment discipline matters.

It is not about predicting the future.

It is about consistently following a predefined plan.

This is what I document here on TheAbrahamCryptoLand — The Investor’s Mindset Channel.

No hype. No emotional decisions. Just discipline and a repeatable investment process.
